Nathan Martin

My main research interest lies in the use of paleogenomics to gain deeper insights into the evolution of past organisms and ecosystems in response to climate change. During my PhD I applied a transdisciplinary approach on environmental archives, exploring biodiversity dynamics during the agro-pastoral transition across various climatic contexts. I am particularly interested in ancient metagenomic strategies, especially the development of targeted enrichment capture methods. In my future work at the CPG, I will focus on studying cold adaptation in various Arctic animal species.
