Research Description
I am interested in using ancient and historical genomics to investigate the genomic consequences of disease outbreaks and their implications for host–pathogen co-evolution. For my PhD, I will study two catastrophic disease outbreaks on the island of Gotland to investigate host–pathogen interactions, demographic collapses, and evolutionary responses.
