CPG has turned five years, which we recently celebrated with a gathering of staff and students. It has been five eventful years filled with interesting and exciting research. Despite the Covid pandemic, work has been performed continuously since we opened, not least in the ancient DNA labs. The Centre has also been expanding, especially over the last couple of years. The initial two research groups, headed by Professor Anders Götherström and Professor Love Dalén, have now been joined by five additional groups with a truly wide range of projects. We have also seen the expansion of SciLifeLab’s Ancient DNA Unit, which has processed beyond a hundred projects and hired additional staff. The number of students have also grown and we currently have several ongoing master projects. Finally, the published output of our research is also reflecting five very productive years with collaborations across the world and across research fields. We sincerely hope for the continued prosperity of this 5-year old!
