Research Description

My research interest revolves around the field of Palaeogenomics. One of the main concerns in the field is the degraded nature of ancient DNA. I am currently working on the development of bioinformatic pipeline aimed at recovering and analyzing highly degraded ancient DNA from specimens dating back to the early to middle Pleistocene era. This is crucial for gaining insights into the ecology and evolutionary history of ancient animals and plants, spanning from hundreds of thousands to well over a million years in age.
